Finally - the last installment of the Bourne Trilogy. Though technically there should be a 4th one (Bourne Legacy). This movie was much better than the last, with much of the action showcasing Bourne’s incredible analytical skills and memory retention that makes him a grand strategist as well as his amazing stamina and prowess in hand-to-hand combat.

This installment fills in the blanks in Bourne’s past and draws a convincing close to the fable of the life of one of the most decorated undercover agents ever.

If you have an interest in action movies and conspiracy theories, this is the movie to catch this season.

This is a novel which I chanced upon on one of my visits to the library and it turned out to be quite a page turner. I would not attempt to spoil the plot by elaborating on it.

Instead, I would like to share some thoughts that ran through my mind after reading the book.

Throughout the story, one theme which stuck with me was that the children in this book had really harsh and troubled lives. Child abuse, abortion, teenage pregnancy, suicide are represented. I was troubled by their predicament. The main male character seemed to be the only one that was concerned with the fate of the children, thus the reader might tend to sympathise with him, more than any other character.

The bleak protrayal of the lives of broken families and the suffering that the children go through was both moving and enlightening. It may not be an accurate representation of the current situation in society but definitely, some family out there is facing the same problems. Makes me reflect on how my family is like and treasure the good parts while mulling over the bad portions.

On the whole, this is a good read and I highly recommend it.
